Crown Registered Mortising Chisel, 3/8 in. This 3/8" wide (10mm) Crown Mortising chisel features an extra-thick blade with flat ground sides designed to register precisely to the mortise sides, ensuring accurate guidance while withstanding the heavy blows needed to chop out joints. The blade is traditionally hot forged from fine carbon steel and includes a leather shock washer between the tang and the handle to reduce vibrations. The sturdy ash handle measures just over 5-1/2" long and is reinforced with steel hoops at both the top and bottom for added durability. With an overall length of approximately 11-3/4", this tool is built for performance and longevity. Honing before use is recommended. Made in England. Model Number: 1763W
