Crown Razor Edge Bowl Gouge w/Side Grind, 3/8 in. is the ultimate tool for bowl turners, known as the "master tool" for its versatility in producing both massive profiling cuts and delicate finishing cuts. This Razor Edge version features a side grind, also called a fingernail profile, allowing the use of the "pull" cut technique and offering a larger cutting tip area for heavy profiling as well as fine, shearing cuts. Crafted with a sophisticated blend of cobalt-infused M42 High Speed Steel and enhanced by a cryogenic treatment, these Razor Edge tools deliver exceptional edge retention and superior performance. The tool includes a 14-1/4" long black stained hardwood handle with a copper ferrule, and the overall length measures approximately 24-1/2". Manufactured in England, Crown Razor Edge Turning Tools are triple tempered and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 66/69 HRC, ensuring durability and precision for every turner.
