This Crown 3/8" Spindle Gouge features the Pro-PM version, crafted from advanced Powder Metal (PM) steel, which is compressed and sintered to provide a cutting edge that lasts four to five times longer than conventional High Speed Steel (HSS) tools. The tool is hardened to between 66° and 68° Rockwell, offering superior wear resistance, excellent grindability, outstanding toughness, and excellent retention of hardness. The gouge is equipped with an ergonomically designed stained black ash handle, approximately 12-1/2" long, providing comfort and control during use. The overall length of the tool is about 18-1/2".
