This design provides greater versatility, allowing woodturners to apply a wider variety of preferred grinds such as Celtic, German, or Ellsworth styles. The Masterflute’s main advantage is its much longer handle, measuring 17-1/2 inches of stained beech, contributing to better control and comfort during use. The bowl gouge features a high-speed steel (HSS) blade and measures approximately 27-1/2 inches in total length. This fundamental tool is essential for bowl and hollow vessel turning, perfect for making both primary shaping and finish cuts.
