Chimney RX Chimney Masonry Waterproofer is a penetrating, VOC-compliant water repellent that features a proprietary modified siloxane formula. This water-based siloxane penetrates masonry surfaces up to 1/4 inch or more, depending on the porosity and moisture content at the time of application. It allows moisture within brick to evaporate while preserving the natural color and texture of the substrate, creating little to no gloss. This product offers multiple benefits, including protection against efflorescence and stains, acid rain, waterborne chemicals, mildew, fungus, and freeze-thaw damage. It is designed to protect most vertical and horizontal exterior, above-grade masonry surfaces such as adobe, architectural concrete, precast or cast-in-place concrete, clay brick, mortar, natural stone, limestone, granite, sandstone, terra cotta, exposed aggregate products, Portland cement, stuccos, and concrete masonry units. Coverage rates vary by surface, with brick walls covering 100-150 square feet per gallon and other materials ranging between 50-150 square feet per gallon.
