Benjamin Moore Corotech Clear Pre-Primer Catalyst is a 100% solids epoxy pre-primer designed for use on both steel and masonry surfaces. This two-component epoxy is ideal for rusted steel where extensive surface preparation is not feasible, as its penetrating properties and extended dry time of 16 hours at 77 °F allow it to seal crevices and imperfections, enhancing adhesion for subsequent coats. On prepared masonry, it penetrates and seals to provide a strong foundation for Corotech epoxy floor coatings. The unique formula forms a sealed epoxy barrier that prevents future corrosion. Its low viscosity fills voids and crevices without shrinking or forming craters. This semi-gloss clear pre-primer is chemical and fume resistant, with an extended cure time for maximum penetration. It also seals previously coated concrete, masonry, and galvanized metal and qualifies for LEED certification.
