Formulated with a unique blend of oil, quality resins, and finely ground pigments, this stain penetrates deeply to safeguard wood from the elements while enhancing its natural grain and texture. Ideal for use on a variety of exterior woods including premium-grade Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, Cypress, Spruce, and Redwoods, it brings out the wood’s natural characteristics without masking them. This stain features a Goof-Proof™ design that eliminates the need for back-brushing, preventing runs, laps, or streaks during application. It requires no primer and can be applied by spraying, rolling, or brushing without thinning or diluting. Ready Seal Mahogany Stain also blends itself naturally without the need for wet-line application or specific temperature conditions. Unlike other stains, it contains no linseed or vegetable oils, which helps prevent algae and fungus growth. It is designed to never crack, chip, flake, or peel, ensuring long-lasting protection. For best results, surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before application, with all previous finishes removed and caustic strippers neutralized. The wood should be completely dry for at least 48 hours, and moisture content should ideally be 12% or less. Care should be taken to protect plants and porous surfaces during application, and pressure washing should be done gently to avoid damage.
