Ideal for all types of exterior wood, including premium-grade lumbers like Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, Cypress, Spruce, and Redwoods, it offers a durable finish that will never crack, chip, flake, or peel. The Goof-Proof™ design means no back-brushing is needed, as it won’t leave runs, laps, or streaks. It requires no primer and can be sprayed, rolled, or brushed on without thinning or diluting. The product self-blends without the need for wet-line application and can be applied regardless of temperature range. Unlike other stains, Ready Seal contains no linseed or vegetable oils, which helps prevent algae and fungus growth on the wood. For best results, prepare the wood by cleaning it thoroughly and ensuring it is completely dry for at least 48 hours before application. Protect surrounding plants and porous surfaces from overspray, and avoid damage when pressure washing. New wood requires no sanding before application, but if sanding is preferred, dust must be removed prior to staining.
