Unlike paint, Ospho chemically changes rust into a hard, inert black substance, making it ideal for use on new ferrous or aluminum metals. This treatment works well for both exterior and interior applications and is recommended for use under oil-based primers and paints. For best results, test a small area before applying under epoxy or latex base paint. One quart covers approximately 600 square feet per gallon and typically requires overnight drying before topcoating.
