DAP Painter's Putty '53', 16 oz. is a smooth and easy-to-work putty specially formulated to meet the needs of professional painters. It is perfect for filling nail holes, dents, and cracks on both interior and exterior wood surfaces, including baseboards, window sills, and woodwork. This putty offers exceptional adhesion and resists oil bleeding, ensuring a durable and clean finish. It can also be used to glaze wooden sashes, though it is not recommended for insulated glass units, plastic window panes, or windows larger than 48 inches in any dimension. The product provides excellent paintability, especially when primed with an oil-based primer before applying latex paints. Avoid using lacquer or finishes with heavy solvents over the putty. For best application results, the exterior temperature should be above 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Containing linseed oil, this putty has a smooth consistency and a mild, pleasant odor.
