Cormark Exotic Lumber African Teak 4/4 (By the Board Foot)

Cormark Exotic Lumber African Teak 4/4 is a premium wood known for its uniform dark golden brown color and coarse texture with a straight grain. This exotic lumber, scientifically known as Tectona grandis and belonging to the Verbenacea family, originates from Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, with introductions to the Caribbean and West Africa. The wood contains silica, making it oily to the touch and giving it a distinctive leather-like aroma. While the silica content can cause severe blunting of tools, the wood is relatively easy to work with, though pre-boring is recommended before screwing or nailing. It glues well, provided the surface is free of oil, and oiling is suggested to achieve a quality finish. ** "Random Length" means each piece may vary in length within a typical range, rather than all pieces being cut to one fixed size. This is a common way lumber and boards are sold, keeping costs lower than ordering pieces cut to a single specified length. If you need specific lengths for your project, please contact our lumber department and we'll be happy to help. ** Model Number:
