Henry ReadySet Multi-Purpose Ceramic Tile Adhesive, 1 Quart is a premixed mastic adhesive designed for ceramic, porcelain, and quarry tile applications. This versatile adhesive bonds effectively to a variety of surfaces including concrete, concrete block, cement backer board, gypsum drywall, plaster, underlayments, wood substrates, brick, and existing ceramic tile. It is important to note that it should not be used for lug-back ceramic tile or pre-grouted wall tile sheets, nor over mortar beds, gang showers, plywood, or particleboard walls. For best results, glossy painted surfaces and glazed ceramic tiles must be abraded before application. This adhesive is not suitable for installing porcelain tile over nonporous substrates or tile over gypsum backing board or water-resistant gypsum backing board (greenboard) where direct water exposure is expected. Always follow the tile manufacturer’s specific preparation recommendations and apply tile at temperatures of 65°F (18°C) or above. The product has a VOC content of 60 g/L as calculated and reported by SCAQMD 1168. Coverage varies by tile size and notch size, with ceramic and porcelain tiles 6" x 6" or smaller requiring a 5/32" x 3/16" saw tooth notch covering 160 to 200 sq. ft. per 4 gallons, mosaic tile using a 1/8" x 1/8" saw tooth notch covering 180 to 220 sq. ft. per 4 gallons, and larger ceramic and porcelain tiles as well as quarry tile needing a 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/4" square notch covering 100 to 120 sq. ft. per 4 gallons.
