Its collection of available parts and cutters makes it the most flexible and value-added single turning tool on the market today.\n\nThe TurnMaster accepts any of three standard cutters—square, round, or detail—as well as a wide range of other cutting tips specially configured to work with it. It incorporates a patented interchangeable cutter head that locks into three positions, allowing for both scraping (fast material removal) and shear scraping (fine finishing and smoothing) options. The round shank has a flat underside for stability on the rest, and a high tensile strength Torx screw keeps cutters tightly secured. A special key is included for quick cutter release.\n\nCutters come in three different materials: tungsten carbide (TC), high-speed steel (HSS), and the titanium nitride (TiN) coated Excelsior line. This variety lets turners select the ideal cutter for the materials being worked on. Super tough tungsten carbide is perfect for roughing operations or abrasive materials like high silica exotic woods. High-speed steel is suited for clean detail and fine finishing, while the titanium nitride coated Excelsior tips offer the same characteristics as plain HSS but with added toughness and prolonged edge life.
