The Festool HL 850 Rustic Undulating Planer Head is one of several quick-change cutter heads that allow you to create perfectly smooth surfaces as well as distressed or rough-hewn effects. Create exotic textures and add character to your work by simply replacing the standard planer head with one of three rustic heads. Produces a wavy textured effect to mimic a hand-hewn appearance.
Spiral cutter engages the material with a slicing action, similar to that of a skewed angle hand plane, generating less chatter and a smoother cut. Self-aligning blades for quick and easy blade changes - loosen 3 screws, replace the blade, re-tighten screws and you're done - Simple as that.
