The Milwaukee Spur Auger Bit drills are capable of drilling through 2x the nails of competitor auger bits without re-sharpening. This auger bit is ideal for drilling into clean wood or nail-embedded wood when installing Romex wire, Pex water lines, rebar, bolts, and rope in piers, playground equipment and landscaping. The bit is designed with a wider flue for maximum chip removal even in the deepest holes. The bit also includes a polished and coated finish that resists chips sticking to the bit even when drilling into something that contains sap or glue. The through-center cutting design of this auger bit makes a more solid striking point against nails compared to competitor “ahead-of-center” and “behind-center” designs. In addition, this bit is constructed with a longer shaft length in order to make drilling deeper or overhead without an extension easier.
