MPOWER’s Strop Polishing Wax can be used in any application where a traditional Polishing Wax is required, whether on a leather strop, bench mounted buffing wheel, a rotary tool, or on a cotton buff or cloth. The primary intended use, however, is as part of MPOWER’s Diamond Bench Stone & Strop System, making it all about what the wax can do when strop polishing newly ground chisels, plane irons and knives – which is bring them to a stellar finish!!
MPOWERWax Bars are primarily made up of different grades and particulate sizes of Aluminum Oxide. They offer 1800#, 2500#, and 5000#, which are designed for use with harder materials such as tool steel, high speed steel (HSS), stainless steel, and silver This highly abrasive material is rubbed onto and bedded into a compliant medium, such as the cowhide leather strop that comes in the Diamond Bench Stone & Strop System.
When the freshly ground blade edge is wiped across the charged strop the Aluminum Oxide particles are broken down, microscopically abrading the steel, and in the process polishing the blade. The result? A superior, finer, longer lasting edge!
The 3 grades* are formulated and matched to the strop that comes with the 3 different grades of MPOWER’s Freestyle Diamond Stone Range. (*Particulate sizes are approximate)
