The MPOWER #10107 300/1200 Grit 8" Diamond Bench Stone has a large 8" x 2-3/4" (203 x 70mm) sharpening area, so there's not much in the way of woodworking or household items that can't be sharpened on it. It easily handles Chisels, Plane Irons, Drill Bits, Kitchen Knives, Craft and Carving Knives, and Scissors.
The unique MPOWER "Free Style" design anti-clog interrupted surface helps draw the debris-filled lubricant away from the abrasive surface of the Diamond Stone. It offers extraordinary durability that is sure to make it become the default diamond stone for all your cutting-edge sharpening needs. The stone can be used dry, however, use with water or special lapping fluids for lubrication is recommended.
This Double-Sided Stone is embedded with long-lasting Monocrystalline Diamond. It has a Coarse 300 Grit (50 Micron) side for fast stock removal, and a Fine 1200 Grit (15 Micron) side for fine honing and finishing. You'll never have any doubt as to which grit you're using as the grade is embossed on the surface of each side.
At the core of this unique laminated hybrid is a precision ground, an aluminum plate that provides the first building block of an ultra-flat diamond surface. The finished tolerance is +/- 0.00175" (0.044mm) across entire length. This laminate is then pressure bonded using a high specification 3M adhesive. The result is a stone offering the performance and flatness of one costing twice as much.
The Bench Stone also includes: One set of interlocking magnetic Nitrile Rubber Holders (which can also hold a range of other regular diamond stones, including the smaller tricky to hold credit cards) to safely hold the stone steady on a work surface; a Cleaning Block, which quickly removes debris and dirt build-up on the diamond plate surface; and a sturdy canvas Storage Wallet with a hook and loop closure. 3 Year Guarantee.
