The CollectA Borealopelta is a replica of a prehistoric herbivore from the Lower Cretaceous Period. Its name means Northern Shield. This species of dinosaur is particularly notable for being among the best preserved fossils of its size that have ever been found. The fossils indicate that the animal had a reddish-brown skin tone with a counter-shaded pattern that was used for camouflage. In addition, the Borealopelta fossils indicate that they had a pair of long spines shaped like horns that protruded from their shoulders.
