The Makita 18V LXT® 16-Ga. Cordless 2-1/2" Straight Finish Nailer features a powerful motor that drives standard 16-gauge, straight finish nails from 1-inch to 2-1/2-inches long. Paired with a 5.0 Ah 18V LXT® Battery (sold separately), this tool drives up to 1,000 finish nails. The rear lock-and-load magazine holds up to 110 nails for maximum efficiency and the nail length markings and large windows on the magazine allow for easy checking of nails. The tool includes (2) removable no-mar tips, on-tool storage and a 2-mode selector switch that enables control over nailing operation. This tool is ideal for trim work, baseboard and crown molding installation, flooring and other woodworking applications. The battery-operated design of this tool eliminates the need for an air hose or compressor which increases convenience and mobility. This tool also features a compact center height that enables visibility around the nose tip when fastening in tight, confined spaces. At only 11-5/8-inches long and 8.4-lbs (with battery, sold separately), this tool is ergonomically designed to reduce operator fatigue during extended use. In addition, the handle features a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort while the integrated reversible belt clip keeps the tool close by when not in use. For additional convenience, this tool features a trigger lock button, built-in LED lights to illuminate the work surface, rubber bumpers to protect the tool and surface from damage, and a narrow nose design that provides more access in tight spaces. The tool’s anti-dry fire mechanism is designed to prevent driving blanks and causing damage to the work surface. The “tool-less” depth adjustment enables accurate flush and countersink finishes and the “tool-less” nose design is easy to clear for fast nail extraction. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, this tool is protected against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating.It is compatible with genuine Makita 18V LXT® batteries and chargers with a Star symbol.
