This Worry-Free Hallway Smoke Alarm with Light from Kidde is a 10-year, sealed battery smoke alarm with photoelectric sensing technology and Smart Hush™ feature. When this smoke detector senses smoke or fire, it will automatically sound an 85 dB alarm tone along with a bright red LED light which illuminates the pathway for escape. The Smart Hush™ feature temporarily silences the alarm for approximately 10 minutes. This feature is ideal for silencing nuisance or false hazards, such as cooking-related smoke.
The sealed lithium battery powers the unit for up to 10 years which eliminates the need to worry or replace batteries often. The alarm provides continuous protection and work even during power outages. Plus, it features an easy install process. Simply attach the alarm to the mounting brackets and it will automatically activate. There are no pull-tabs or switches. At the end of its life, this smoke detector will chirp which indicates that the alarm needs to be replaced. By using a screwdriver, the unit can be deactivated which stops the chirping and makes it safe for disposal.
