How soon will I be contacted after I submit my application?

Please know that we often receive hundreds of applications when we advertise an open position. Upon initial review of your application, if we feel that your experience, education or other qualities seem to point in the direction of you having the necessary skills, we will arrange for a phone interview. Upon completion of that screening telephone interview, you may be invited in for a face-to-face interview. This process may take up to one month after posting a position. If you do not hear from us, please note that we simply may have felt that there were better qualified candidates among the applications received. We will keep the resume or application on file for six months. After that time, you may feel free to re-submit a new application.

How should I prepare for my interview?

Please note that we want to learn about you! Be complete in your answers regarding your work and volunteer history, and write down names of possible personal and professional references or other important qualities about yourself that you would like to share with us. We want to give you the best chance of success in the interview process. The more informative you can be about your accomplishments, the better! Many people ask how they should dress for the interview: We ask that you dress in a tasteful way, but suits, ties and other formal business attire is not necessary. We usually adopt a "business casual" type of dress here at Hartville Hardware. You may feel free to come dressed in that fashion, as well, for your interview.

Do you have internships?

In cooperation with area colleges, we would be willing to consider one or two unpaid interns per semester if the documentation and agreement with the schools were signed and clear expectations were fulfilled. We want to provide an excellent learning opportunity for those who are studying business, management, merchandising, marketing and customer service/hospitality skills. Assistant Buyer

With a dedication to helping others and an eye for details, the Assistant Buyer assists with the buying, pricing, promoting, and merchandising of the store's clothing and housewares products. He/she will support salespeople and customers with their buying decisions and questions. They also ensure accuracy and analyze data to recognize trends and help execute strategy.

eCommerce Channel Manager (E-bay)

The eCommerce Channel Manager position is primarily responsible for growing and maintaining sales within the various marketplaces for Hartville Hardware. The channel manager plays an important role in the growth, compliance and profitability of one of Hartville Hardware's biggest eCommerce channels. In the ever-changing eCommerce landscape this position is required to provide leadership, guidance, and assistance to the Product, Warehouse, and Customer Service Teams to ensure best practices are followed to achieve the optimal customer experience at the highest level of profitability.

Marketplace Product Specialist

The Marketplace Product Specialist works to ultimately build our product sales through vendor management, pricing, compliance, minimal overstock and updated and complete product presentation. This position is intricate to our sales team, as the product specialist is responsible for maintaining a level of profitability amongst the thousands of products we advertise within the online marketplace
