The Makita 18V LXT® Cordless Compact Router features a BL™ Brushless Motor and a variable speed control dial that allows users to match speed to application. With an aluminum housing and base, this durable router is ideal for cabinetry and woodworking. The smooth rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system gives users more precise settings for increased accuracy while the dual LED lights illuminate the work area. Bases for Makita Corded Compact Routers (RT0700C, RT0701C) are fully compatible with XTR01Z and Makita vacuum cleaners are compatible with the unit as well. Paired with a Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah battery (sold separately) this router can deliver 380-feet of cutting performance in red oak using a ¼-inch straight bit at a depth of 5/32-inch. Other features of this tool include a plunge capacity of 0 - 1-3/8" with plunge base attached (sold separately), a plunge capacity of 0 - 1-9/16" with trimmer base attached (sold separately), shaft lock for quick bit changes, easy-to-read depth scales, and an On/Off button with separate lock button that helps prevent accidental start-ups. Batteries and chargers are sold separately.
