The final step to getting chisels and plane irons down to finely polished razor sharpness is stropping. The FTS Mini Strop from MPOWER is a real "on board" leather finishing strop to put that final touch to any chisel or plan blade. With the Strop attached to the underside of the FASTTRACK Chisel & Plane Sharpener Base it is immediately available whenever needed. Just flip the unit it over and it's ready to go.
Stropping the blade edge greatly reduces the size of the jagged, microscopic peaks and troughs of a freshly sharpened blade edge, resulting in a finer edge, more durable edge. The Strop has a 3M self-adhesive backing, so it can be installed on the Sharpener Base in seconds. The underside of the Strop's profiled injection molded plate follows the contours of the FASTTRACK base, while the topside is flat and stable for precision stropping.
